Journey in a Day- Think Like a Citizen Scientist

Earn a whole Journey in a Day! Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors are invited to join us at Arequipa as we learn what it means to be a scientist and discover more about the world around us. (This does not include the Take Action project, the take Action Project must be completed separately.)

Please Note: All materials will be provided, but please bring a notebook and pen or pencil. You will receive all Journey patches on site. Drop-off's are allowed for this program. Financial Aid is available to GSNorCal Girl Members for this program. Important Notice: This GSNorCal in-person event will require participants (including chaperones) to provide proof of vaccination and/or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of an event.

For Girl Scouts grades K-5 ~ min 15/max 48 and adults ~ min 5/max 20

Fee: $50 per GSNorCal Youth Member/ $15 per GSNorCal Adult Member

$60 per Out-of-Council Youth Member/ $25 per Out-of-Council Adult Member

Cancellation Policy

Events run rain or shine unless inclement weather would adversely affect a program. In those cases, participants will be notified of cancellation or rescheduling. If GSNorCal cancels the event for any reason or cannot place participants in the event of their choice, GSNorCal will issue a refund for 100% of the registration fee.

Cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing by emailing Member Services. No refunds will be issued for registration fees of less than $10 per individual. Thirty (30) days written notice is required to receive 50% of registration fees of $10 or more per individual. There are no refunds if less than 30 days written notice is given except for medical reasons. Refunds for medical reasons will only be processed if notification is made before the event and is followed within one week by a written refund request accompanied by a note from a physician. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. The $25.00 Girl Scout membership fee and $15 council service fee are non-refundable.
