STEM Career Day with UC Berkeley's WICSE 

Participants will earn the STEM Career Exploration Badge while doing hands-on activities, and participating in special lab tours. This event is presented by UCB's WICSE - Women in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering.

Sunday, June 23, 2024 ~ 9:00am-4:00pm

For: Girl Scouts grades 4-6 ~ min 30/ max 60

Fee: $35 per GSNorCal Youth Member/ $0 per Adult Chaperone

Program Fee Includes: STEM Career Badge (*you must attend the ENTIRE event to earn and receive the badge.)

Location: UC Berkeley - Soda Hall, Wozniak Lounge, 1860 Le Roy Ave., Berkeley, CA 94720

Parking: Street parking is free on Sunday's on Le Roy or Hearst Ave. There are parking garages as well on Hearst Ave.

Please Note: Participants will need a laptop or tablet (can be shared in pairs).  Bring lunch/snacks, refillable water bottle, wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers. One GS Adult Chaperone PER TROOP is required to be in attendance during the entire event.  Adults can share chaperone duties with rotations during the day.

Cancellation Policy

Events run rain or shine unless inclement weather would adversely affect a program. In those cases, participants will be notified of cancellation or rescheduling. If GSNorCal cancels the event for any reason or cannot place participants in the event of their choice, GSNorCal will issue a refund for 100% of the registration fee.

Cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing by emailing Member Services. No refunds will be issued for registration fees of less than $10 per individual. Thirty (30) days written notice is required to receive 50% of registration fees of $10 or more per individual. There are no refunds if less than 30 days written notice is given except for medical reasons. Refunds for medical reasons will only be processed if notification is made before the event and is followed within one week by a written refund request accompanied by a note from a physician. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. The $25.00 Girl Scout membership fee and $15 council service fee are non-refundable.
