Voices for Change Planning Committee

Girl Scouts of Northern California can use their voices to change the world! Voices for Change is a multilevel event for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors that will help youth work on Girl Scout Journeys, learn about leadership opportunities in Girl Scouting, and prepare them to be future National Delegates representing the Girl Scouts of Northern California. The Voices for Change Planning Committee is comprised of Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts and adults looking for leadership opportunities to plan and run the Voices for Change event in partnership with the Council.

The planning committee will meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month:

Important Notice: This GSNorCal in-person event will require participants (including chaperones) to provide proof of vaccination and/or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of an event.

Please Note: Drop-off's for this program are allowed. Volunteers Needed: Adult Committee Advisors. Members of the planning committee are expected to attend the Voices for Change event in May 2023. 

For girls grades 6-12 ~ min 10/max 35 and adult volunteers ~ min 0/max 5

Fee: $0 per GSNorCal youth member, $5 per Out-of-Council youth member, $0 per adult volunteer

Location: San Jose Girl Scout Office (with the possibility of some Zoom meetings.)

Cancellation Policy

Events run rain or shine unless inclement weather would adversely affect a program. In those cases, participants will be notified of cancellation or rescheduling. If GSNorCal cancels the event for any reason or cannot place participants in the event of their choice, GSNorCal will issue a refund for 100% of the registration fee.

Cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing by emailing Member Services. No refunds will be issued for registration fees of less than $10 per individual. Thirty (30) days written notice is required to receive 50% of registration fees of $10 or more per individual. There are no refunds if less than 30 days written notice is given except for medical reasons. Refunds for medical reasons will only be processed if notification is made before the event and is followed within one week by a written refund request accompanied by a note from a physician. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. The $25.00 Girl Scout membership fee and $15 council service fee are non-refundable.
